One of the first games for the teams ranked among the 9th-16th places had a lot of emotion. Romania wins the first part quite easily and with many goals lead (19-8), but in the second part of Lithuania played with a completely different attitude, were more fighters. Therefore, and more, they won the second half by 29-21.
The game so goes the “shootout” and the contest for victory remains fierce, but Romania ultimately winning 5-4.
So now Romania will play against Russia for 9-12 places and Lithuania will play against Greece, for 13-16 places.
