Norway and Hungary achieved the quarter-finals of the women´s competition this morning. The Norwegian squad is first, with 6 points and Hungary is second, with 4 points.
Lithuania is third place and Switzerland is fourth ranked.
Norway wins Group A
Lithuania starts the game strong, confident and maintain the lead at the first minutes. However Norway fight hard to conquer this match and actually all the work was “paid off” when the team scored at one minute to finish the first half and put them in the lead, which made the results of 13-12 goals.
On the other hand, at the second half both teams start with the same strength and technique which raised the level of difficulty but Lithuania ends up winning.
Therefore Lithuania and Norway went to a shootout where the two teams tight and all this contest finish when Norway scored, beat Lithuania with a result of 9-8 (2-1 points) and automatically goes to the final quarter with 6 points.
Hungary move on in tournament
Hungary won Switzerland for 2 – 0 and move on in the competition. In a match with some difficulties for Switzerland, Hungary won two times for 25 – 4 and 24 – 9. This win ensures Hungary playing on the round of 16.
